This simple deck girder bridge crosses Buffalo Creek near 5th Avenue in Brownton.
Originally built in 1906, the bridge was widened on the north end in 1913. The structure consists of a pair of 40 foot deck girder spans. The entire bridge consists of concrete substructures.
When the double track was removed, the southern of the two tracks was removed. It is unknown if the existing spans were replaced at that time.
Overall, the bridge appears to be in fair condition. Significant deterioration can be seen on the south ends of the substructures.
The author has ranked the bridge as being locally significant, due to the common design.
The photo above is an overview. The author intends to photograph this bridge more soon.
